Precious Jewels Chapter #794 host

1ST ANNUAL BIG HATS AND BRIMZ BRUNCH

On August 27, 2016 Precious Jewels Chapter #794 hosted our 1st Annual Big Hats and Brimz Brunch. The purpose of the event was to Enlighten Women, Men, and Youth about Domestic Violence. Our goal is to raise awareness for individual suffering from domestic violence. Domestic violence/abuse crosses race, gender, ethnic, age, economic, cultural, religious, and sexual orientation boundaries. It affects us all.

There was a fashion show with designers Dominique Hammetts and Regina Borden. We had an awesome motivator speaker Ms. Kimya Motley who survived a tragedy in 2011, in which her ex-husband shot her four times with a .38 in the face, neck, back of the head and back and shot her then 10-year-old daughter once in the head. Ms. Motley founded Haven of Light International, Inc. in May 2013. Haven of Light International is a non-profit designed to help families rebuild spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially after abuse.

We also had some wonderful Vendors

  • Paparazzi Accessories
  • CyntSational Cakes (Cakes, Cupcakes, Chocolate cover Strawberries)
  • Kingdom Kothes (Shirts, Hats)
  • Kenisha Baldwin (Glitter Mason Jars, Candle Holder, and Custom Wooden Signs)
  • Cedgae Travel Agent
  • Scentsy (Candles and Scents)
  • Haven of Light International (Books)
  • Awakened Soul (Body scrub, after shower butter, and soap)
  • Tammy Coleman (Books, DVD)

Our 1st Annual Big Hats and Brimz was a great success and we could not have done it without the support and help for our family and friends.

A Special "Thanks" to Shiloh Baptist Church Praise Performance Team, Brother Frank Phipps, Brother Jason Woods and Tamala Coleman.

Thank you again for coming out to support Precious Jewels Chapter and Haven of Light International, Inc.

In 2004 our pioneering charter members conceived a vision for a chapter that would be dedicated to service and the empowerment of Metropolitan Atlanta. Almost five years since our chartering, we have grown and we continue to serve with excellence.

It is our sincere hope that this website will provide you with information about upcoming events that may be of service to you as well as a “glimpse” into the many ways we are working to reach new heights in our chapter and to transform our community.
